PCSO LOTTO BOOTH REQUIREMENTS – Here is a guide on the standards set by the PCSO for the interior and exterior of the lotto outlets/booths.

Millions of Filipinos in the Philippines are bettors of the lotto games conducted by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. More popularly called PCSO, it is the legal operator of the lottery games in the country and it conducts several minor and major lotto games every day.

While there are millions of Filipinos who are lotto bettors, there are also some Filipinos who have lotto betting as a business. They applied for franchised and were granted the permit to operate a lotto outlet or booth.

To make sure that the franchisees aren’t just wasting money in putting up an outlet to only end up with a tight division of bettors with another outlet, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office implements certain requirements for the location or area where the outlet or booth is targeted to be set as well as PCSO lotto booth requirements with regards to the interior and exterior.

The target area for a lotto outlet or booth must be 100 meters away from schools and at least 200 meters away from existing outlets in provinces and a minimum of 100 meters away from existing outlets when the location is within the National Capital Region.

With regards to the PCSO lotto booth requirements for the interior and the exterior, here are the requirements of the lotto-regulating body:

  • must be enclosed and must be facing the direction of human traffic/entry
  • floor space is at least 2m x 2m. Business counters measuring at least 36” x 24”
  • outlets located within a commercial building or complexes, with 24-hour security, Lotto/Keno booths need not be enclosed
  • with at least one (1) wireless, fixed landline telephone OR cellphone for hotline operation use
  • one (1) set of Personal Computer with a minimum 21-inch colored LED/LCD monitor to display drawing of on-line winning numbers
  • frontage must face the main hallway/corridor or to the direction of major traffic flow

Aside from the requirements for the interior and exterior of the lotto booth, there are also PCSO lotto outlet requirements for application with regards to the qualifications and the documents required by the PCSO from the aspiring franchisees.
